Questions & Answers

Q: Who is the typical Root and Wilde bride?

A: YOURSELF! Our brides span from a traditional style to super organic or bohomehian. All of our brides trust Root and Wilde to make their vision come to life and convey their style through flowers. We take pride in making sure your wedding florals are truly one-of-a-kind.

Q: What is your service area?

A: We are currently flowering the Texas Hill Country, but we will travel wherever our clients wander (for an additional travel fee of course!).

Q: How much can I expect to spend on my wedding florals?

A: Every couple is different, but we typically find that the average couple spends 10-15% of their total wedding budget on flowers. Design, labor, floral varieties, and color pallet are just few of the many factors that go into pricing wedding florals. The best way to get a better understand of what your wedding florals will cost you is to come in for a consultation or have us send you a proposal!

Q: What will my travel and set up fees look like?

A: Delivery only of florals is a minimum of $150, with additional fees incurred dependent upon distance and complexity. Full-service delivery and set up starts at a minimum of $500, no matter the location.

Q: Can I pick up my own wedding florals?

A: We do allow pick-ups. We will schedule someone to meet you on your designated date at a designated time.

Q: Do you offer consultations?

A: Yes! For couples that have already booked with us, we offer one free hour consultation. On top of that, you will receive unlimited access to consult with Evann Wehman, owner and lead designer, via email, phone call, text, or FaceTime. For couples that have not booked with Root and Wilde, we offer a consultation for $75/hour. Once you are ready to book with us, we will then happily apply the consultation fee to your proposal amount.

Q: I live out of town, but I want to make sure you guys are the ones to design my florals. How do I get on your calendar?

A: Couples can expect to pay a 20% non-refundable deposit (credited towards your total) of your wedding estimate to get your name on our calendar.

Q: Do I need to provide vases and hardware? How does that work?

A: WE can easily help you order something that fits your needs, or you can choose from our stash we have here at Root and Wilde! Have a family heirloom that you want to incorporate into your big day? We can easily make that dream come to life!

Q: Can I make changes to my proposal after the contract has been signed?

A: This is our number one question, and the answer is, "of course"!  As a Root and Wilde bride, you are able to make changes up until 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.

Q:Are certain flowers promised?

A: As much as we would love to promise you your favorite flower, we cannot. Mother nature has a mind of her own, and we have no control over what our wholesale florist sends us. We do, however, make every effort possible to locate your most favorite blooms.

Q: If I get a portrait bouquet, will it look like my bridal bouquet?

A: No, it won't. We do order similar blooms to those of your bridal bouquet to make you a stunning, but slightly different, portrait bouquet. We will, of course, maintain the style of color pallet of your wedding for your portrait bouquet. If you want to see a replica of your bridal bouquet, we cannot make any promises that every bloom will be exactly the same as they will appear on your wedding day. Again, we have no control over Mother Nature chooses to grow for us.

Q: Do I have to have a consult to plan my wedding florals with Root and Wilde?

A: No, you don't! More than half of our brides meet us for the very first time when we deliver their wedding florals. It is more than possible to have all of the planning done by phone, email, and FaceTime.
